PRISM HEALTH
Prism Health, Oregon’s first LGBTQ+ primary health clinic in Portland, reached out and asked if I’d like to collaborate with them on some new materials for their clients and community members.
Together, we created new handouts on HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) that inform patients of the effects and expected time course of HRT.
Prism had a vision of informing their patients with something thoughtful, approachable, and in the format of a comic.
The staff and providers at Prism and myself revised the language in the previous form to make it more inclusive. Next, I took the information from a table and converted it into panels in a comic.
Two versions of each comic were created.
One version was rendered in gray tones, designed to print, and hand out to patients.
The second version was colored using the palette from Prism’s style guidelines. This version was designed for their website.
